How to Get EPP/Auth Code ?

An EPP Code (also called Auth Code, Authorization Code, or Transfer Key) is a security code required to transfer your domain name from one registrar to another.

You need this code when transferring your domain to Govaio.

Examples of domains that may need an EPP code:

mybusiness.in
brandname.net

Without the correct EPP/Auth Code, domain transfer cannot be completed.

General Steps to Get EPP Code

Most providers use a similar process:

  1. Log in to domain account

  2. Open Domains section

  3. Select your domain

  4. Open Manage Domain

  5. Find Transfer / EPP / Auth Code option

  6. View, copy, or email the code



1. GoDaddy

Steps:

  1. Log in to GoDaddy

  2. Go to My Products

  3. Select domain

  4. Open domain settings

  5. Turn off domain lock if needed

  6. Choose Transfer Domain Away

  7. Request authorization code

The code is usually sent by email or shown in panel.

  1. Log in to Namecheap
